Gagging order preventing Irish entertainer from being named in sexual assault case remains in place

Will they be identified?

A gagging order preventing an Irish entertainer from being named in a sexual assault case remains in place, after it was challenged by a number of media outlets.

According to the Irish Sun, judge John Hughes said the alleged victim must be consulted before he decides if the accused should be identified.

The suspect, who is in his mid 20s, has been accused of sexually assaulting a young male at a Dublin venue back in 2016.

The mystery entertainer is pleading not guilty to the allegation, and was supported by family members in court yesterday.

The judge adjourned the case until November 27, and the accused has been remanded on continuing bail until next month.
