Fred Cooke credits Jennifer Zamparelli for DWTS ratings win

More people are tuning in to DWTS than The Late Late Show

Fred Cooke believes Jennifer Zamparelli is the reason Dancing With The Stars is doing so well in the ratings war this year.

The popular RTE 2fm host replaced Amanda Byram on the show this year, and her partnership with Westlife’s Nicky Byrne has received a lot of praise.

According to the Irish Sun, the dance show has been a huge hit with viewers this season, and more people are tuning in to DWTS than The Late Late Show.

Last Sunday, an average of 444,000 people tuned in to watch Dancing With The Stars, while only 400,000 watched the Late Late Show two days beforehand.

The week before that, 420,000 punters watched DWTS, while 392,000 people tuned in to watch Ryan Tubridy’s chat show.

Speaking to the newspaper, celebrity contestant Fred Cooke said, “Jennifer has been a revelation on DWTS. She had never done live TV before but she’s astonished everybody.”

“From her first show, Jennifer was dancing, switching costume, reading the autocue and improvising on live TV. It’s quite incredible.”
