Former Miss Ireland opens up about cosmetic surgery

Former Miss Ireland Rebecca Maguire has opened up about her own cosmetic surgery and how people should talk more freely about it.

The model revealed that she has had a breast augmentation, and went up three cup sizes.

“I wanted to be open about it, to remove the stigma attached to it,” she admitted.

The Belfast native also admitted that her choice to have cosmetic surgery done was not one she made lightly, but does think we need to talk more openly about the confidence surgery can give people.

“Getting cosmetic surgery was not a fleeting decision for myself, and should not be for anyone,” she said to RSVP magazine.

“I am very pro-choice when it comes to this sort of thing, and I really think everyone is entitled to their own opinion about their own bodies’.”

The brunette beauty is happy to be open about her experience with surgery, even though many others shy away from talking about it.

“I personally think that if cosmetic surgery can enhance your confidence it is a positive thing for women.

“Many choose not to divulge the details of work they have had done, though I choose to be honest about my journey as I think it’s a positive thing to be open about it all,” Rebecca added.
