Fans share their tributes to Brendan Grace after emotional final episode of his docu-series

Monday night saw the final episode of the Brendan Grace: Thanks For The Memories air on RTE One.

The poignant docu-series detailed the life of the beloved Irish actor and comedian, and his last project working with the Forget-Me-Nots, an inclusive choir group for people with Dementia and their families.

Brendan began filming his work with the choir at the beginning of the year, before being diagnosed with cancer.

He lost his battle with the illness in July.

“Hiya folks, this is Brendan Grace here,” he said in the first episode of the series.

“Not as well as I usually am, but I set out to do a documentary, and I wanted to dedicate it to Alzheimer’s/dementia. And I’m glad we’re going ahead with it, even though I’m not well.”

The star is best known for his work in 1995 film Moondance, and for his appearance on Father Ted as Father Fintan Stack.

Fans have been reacting en-masse to the documentary’s final episode on social media, with many praising the late actor for his compassion and bravery:

Listen to this week’s Gosscast; where Goss.ie Founder Ali Ryan and Editor Kendra Becker are, of course, breaking down all the details of the Coleen Rooney v Rebekah Vardy drama.

Plus the girls are talking about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s war against the media, are they getting into dangerous territory?
