EXCLUSIVE! Rob Kearney: 'My rugby team mates are welcome for a facial in Oslo'

Rugby star Rob Kearney has admitted his Leinster and Ireland team mates are yet to knock on his door to get any beauty treatments since opening his new venture.

Speaking to Goss.ie at the Zurich IRUPA awards, the Louth man, who recently opened beauty salon Oslo with Amy Huberman, insisted the offer is there for his team mates if they ever want a facial.

“A few of the boys aren’t overtly keen on admitting to getting any treatments done yet,” he said.

“I know a couple of lads have had the odd facial or two in their time but the offers always there for the team mates.”

Although setting up the business, Rob admitted he won’t be giving any treatments himself but revealed the business is hoping to expand in the future – with a Ranelagh outlet already on the cards.

“It’s still early days but the end goal obviously be to open up a chain of them and have 10 across the country in a couple of years time,” he said.

“It’s all very dependent on how this one goes. I suppose the business plan and the vision of where the business is going is probably a little bit out of my remit.”

The sportsman opened the Mespil Road based beauty haven along with Amy Huberman in April and insisted the actress will be more hands on with the business.

“Listen we’re only open three or four weeks so she won’t be in there doing the shellac or preparing it either. She’ll be a hell of a lot more hands on then me,” he laughed.
