EXCLUSIVE! Pippa O’Connor reveals hopes to write book on motherhood

Pippa O’Connor is a star mum, and revealed to Goss.ie that maybe down the line, she’d be interested in writing a book on motherhood.

Pippa is gearing up for the release of her debut book, Pippa: Simple Tips To Live Beautifully, later this year – but admitted that she didn’t cover anything to do with motherhood, as she wanted to focus on fashion and beauty.

Speaking at the Water Wipes Pure Love film launch, Pippa admitted that she might write a book aimed towards mums in the future.

“I didn’t really cover that in the book that I’ve done,” the 31-year-old revealed.

“I suppose ’cause fashion and beauty is my thing and what I’m passionate about, so I didn’t include anything motherhood in it purposely.

“Maybe down the line when I’ve lived it a bit more!”

Juggling her two boys, Ollie and newborn Louis, and rushing around to different events, she’s constantly busy but has her hubby Brian Ormond and her family to help with the boys.

“For me, I rely heavily on my husband and family. You couldn’t do everything on your own!” the beauty blogger told Goss.ie.

Pippa also talked about skin to skin contact at the launch, where the mother places her baby on her chest with their skin touching, but that fathers can also do it.

“I remember the doctors saying to my husband, ‘Now if you want to go up into the room where Pippa is, if you want to take off your top and put the baby on your chest.’

“He was like ‘No, I’m okay thanks, I’m not going to take my top off!’,” she revealed.

“I said to him, ‘Seriously, you should do that as well’, and he was like ‘Oh alright!’

“So, he took the top off and had Louis on his chest as well.

“I thought that was amazing, that the dads aren’t left out and that’s such an important thing to point out as well, skin to skin contact isn’t just for mums.

“It’s such a lovely bond for dad also.”
