Moe Dunford and Pat Shortt have opened up about working on Dark Lies the Island with a hugely talented Irish team.

The Ian Fitzgibbon film saw some of Ireland’s best talent come together – as Moe, Pat, Peter Coonan, Tommy Tiernan and Charlie Murphy are just some of the incredible actors to star in the film.

We caught up with some of the stars of the movie at its premiere during the Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival.

Speaking about the cast and crew, Moe exclusively told Goss.ie: “I worked with Peter before. I worked with Pat before. We played best friends in a broad comedy and we’re playing father and son this time, with me and Peter as brothers.”

The actor added that he had wanted to worked with comedian, Tommy Tiernan, for a long time: “I went to college with Charlie Murphy. I have always wanted to work with Tommy Tiernan, so it was a real eclectic bunch. I loved it, I loved the experience.”

Pat also spoke highly of the entire team and said that the experience was “great fun.”

“I worked with Charlie too. It was great working with Charlie on this and the guys and Moe, and everybody else. It was great fun and Ian Fitzgibbon, the writing was great. It’s a movie worth watching, definitely,” he told us.
