EXCLUSIVE! Marty Morrissey ‘absolutely delighted’ to make it through DWTS elimination

The Marty Party continues...

Kyran OBrien

RTE veteran, Marty Morrissey, has made it through to week five of Dancing With The Stars.

Speaking to Goss.ie after the result was announced, Marty said he was “absolutely delighted” and “relieved” to be through.

Despite finishing bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 15 for a second week in a row, he did almost double his score from the last week on 8.

After a tough week last week, Marty says that he and his dance partner Ksenia are “back on track”, and he’s delighted the public still have “faith” in him and have kept him in the competition.

Marty spoke to us just before the ‘Marty Party’ started – the cast’s after party, which has become a weekly occurrence.

The cast have been to a number of venues around Dublin since the live shows began, and Marty even joked that they’ll have the “tour of Dublin done” before the competition is over.

He added that “every dance is a challenge”, and he’s putting himself in the very capable hands of his “beautiful” dance partner Ksenia.
