EXCLUSIVE! Maia Dunphy: 'Being in a new city with a new baby is really lonely'

TV star Maia Dunphy has revealed that she’s finding living in London with her newborn “really lonely.”

The Dubliner, who relocated to London to live with her comedian husband Johnny Vegas, welcomed her first child Tom Laurence in July and admitted she misses the comforts of home.

“[I miss] family and friends and I have to say, and me being serious for once, being in a new city with a new baby is really lonely,” she told Goss.ie.

“I don’t do lonely because I love my own company, but when you choose to be your own company and you can go out if you want is quite different to being somewhere where you don’t really have friends,” she added.

Luckily, Maia does have a helping hand in London from her husband and her sister – but she admitted that its not quite the same as being at home in Ireland.

“Obviously my husbands great, and my sisters over there so I do have some support but it’s not the same as being here where you’ve got pals down the road,” she revealed to Goss.ie.

“It’s been a bit tough, but we’re getting there and it’s very early days.”
