EXCLUSIVE: Kian Egan's wife Jodi Albert 'devastated' as mum battles cancer AGAIN

Kian Egan’s wife Jodi Albert is “devastated” after her mother is back in hospital battling cancer.

The former Wonderland star is distraught after mum Eileen was remitted to continue fighting the disease.

Last year Westlife star Kian said that Eileen was “doing quite well now” after “battling cancer for the last year” and it was believed she was over the worse.

However Jodi’s sister has revealed she is back in hospital after her condition deteriorated.

“Jodi is absolutely devastated,” a source told Goss.ie. “She’s been through so much already. Her mum was found to have cancer back in 2009 and they thought she was doing a lot better.

“She just wants to be there for Eileen and do what she can. She’s heartbroken, it’s horrible to see her mum go through everything again.”

Her sister Kelli Albert confirmed the sad news on Twitter, writing: “So hard watching my mummy being so ill and weak! Back in hospital! #f**kyoucancer!!!”

Eileen was hit with cancer back in 2009, but a year later son-in-law Kian was positive the chemotherapy was working.

“Eileen’s doing really well, yeah, she’s doing great,” he said at the time. “It looks like she’s coming out the other side and could soon be in remission.

“She’s still got a couple of treatments left to go so until that happens we won’t know anything for definite but we were told after Christmas that it’s looking hopeful.”

He added last year that Eileen was “doing quite well now” after “battling cancer for the last year”.
