Jason Byrne chatted to us after the second round of Ireland’s Got Talent semi finals and was as shocked as the rest of us about Zacc Milne’s exit from the competition.
‘The wildcard is way up in the air right now because there’s also a Paul Ryder there.’
‘I think right now the wildcards are Paul and Zacc.’
There’s still another batch of semi finalists who will battle it out tonight and Louis is a big fan of Christopher King who is also a hotly contested candidate to receive the wildcard.
He also revealed what he’d do if he were to enter the show as an act.
‘I’d probably do dance. You know, express me self.’
‘I predicted a dance group would probably win this at the very very beginning.’
When asked if he could pick a winner between Double Impact, FKFT and RDC he replied, ‘No… Because I have to see what they’re going to bring.’
‘See the thing with dance groups, as they said tonight, is that they’ve more in the bag and we’re like ‘Oh no what are they going to bring?”
As for tonight, Jason is looking forward to ‘our beautiful Evelyn.’
‘Our twenty-one-year-old singer who is Michelle’s golden buzzer but we also have Denise’s golden buzzer.’
Eveleyn Williams is an 81-year-old from Tallaght who stole the nation’s collective heart with her audition.
