EXCLUSIVE! This Irish blogger got to go to the Met Gala – and reveals all

Galway girl Michaela O’Shaughnessy got to the Met Gala in New York last night, and she’s dishing all the details.

Michaela works in social media for Teen Vogue got to cover the ball for the second time, and was dressed by top Irish designer Don O’Neill.

Speaking to Goss.ie, Michaela, who runs her blog Life of a Lady Bear, said she loved watching Kris Jenner, who waited on the steps of the red carpet for all of her stylish daughters to arrive.

“It was so funny to watch Kris Jenner in momager mode from the top of the carpet,” she told Goss.ie.

“She waited there for 25 minutes until both Kendall and Kylie were in, taking photos on her iPhone the entire time.”

“I’m a huge Cardi B fan so I literally jumped when I saw her in her amazing Moschino dress with her little baby bump,” she added.

Speaking about Rihanna’s killer look, Michaela said everything came to a stand still when she arrived, but it was Blake Lively who stole the show for her.

“As soon as Rihanna came on the carpet there was a huge gasp from everyone!

“She truly knocks it out of the park every year and dedicated herself fully to the theme. But for me I think my best dressed was Blake Lively’s Atelier Versace.

“It took over 600 hours to make and it looked absolutely stunning in person,” she revealed.

The New York based blogger was dressed by top Irish designer Don O’Neill.

“I was so delighted to wear Irish designer Don O’Neill again this year.

“He is such a talented man, it was so hard to narrow it down to just one dress when I went for a fitting with him.”
