Caroline Morahan is the latest star to be in the running to replace Amanda Byram on Dancing With The Stars.
The former Off The Rails presenter has reportedly already jetted into Ireland from LA for a screen test with the show’s producers ShinaWil.
Goss.ie can exclusively reveal that bosses were very keen to meet Caroline, as well as Laura Whitmore, who is also their top pick.
Speaking about Caroline, a TV insider told Goss.ie: “She lives in LA, she’s an actress, she has that Hollywood glamour that’s needed on Dancing With The Stars.”
“She’s also already known to Irish audiences as she hosted Off The Rails, everybody loved her on that,” the source added.
Although producers are keen on Caroline, TV insiders have told Goss.ie that Laura Whitmore is also heavily in the running and met with producers last week.
“They’ve always been interested in Laura, and RTE themselves want Laura to do more work with them. This could be the perfect role to bring her back to Ireland,” an insider said.
Alongside Laura, other shortlisted candidates include Vogue Williams, Angela Scanlon and Aoibhinn Garrihy.
Since Amanda left the show speculation has mounted on who will step in to fill her shoes, and co-host alongside Nicky Byrne.
Producers are looking for someone with solid experience on live television, which makes sense that both Laura and Caroline are the top picks.
