EXCLUSIVE! Bernard O’Shea ‘would put money on’ Alannah Beirne winning DWTS

The comedian is shocked to still be in the competition

Bernard O’Shea has admitted that he would “put money on” Alannah Beirne winning Dancing With The Stars with her dance partner Vitali.

While the comedian doesn’t think he and his dance partner Valeria have a chance at winning the Glitter Ball trophy, Bernard is placing bets on his fellow contestants.

Speaking to Goss.ie after Norah Casey was eliminated from the show on Sunday, Bernard said, “At the moment I think it’s between Anna (Geary), Erin (McGregor) , and I think Jake (Carter).

“But if I was to put my money on someone I’d go with Alannah and Vitali.”

Meanwhile, Bernard admitted that he was genuinely shocked to still be in the competition, and revealed that he was so convinced he would be gone that he didn’t learn his next dance.

The Breakfast Republic also said that he felt “sorry” for his dance partner Valeria.

“I feel so sorry for Valeria, I’d say when she met me first and saw me she went, ‘Aw Jesus’. We look like Beauty and The Beast, so that’s what we are, we’re Beauty and the Beast.

“I’d say there are times when she’s like, ‘Why couldn’t you have given me Jake?”. She has to drag me around that floor for four/five hours everyday.”

On the physical benefits of training for the show, Bernard said, “Your posture. You’re literally taller, that’s the biggest thing.

“My trousers didn’t fit this week and they had to take them in, but a lot of that is fear and a lack of sleep,” he added.
