EXCLUSIVE! Alannah Beirne on surviving the DWTS dance off

Alannah Beirne survived the second dance off of the series and will progress to week nine of Dancing With The Stars.

The Naas model scored an impressive 26 points for her quickstep with partner Vitali Kozmin.

Despite her high score the 24-year-old ended up at the mercy of the judges votes, competing against Marty Morrissey in the dance off.

Brian, Lorraine and Julian all voted to keep her in but she found being so close to elimination unnerving.

“It was a scary, daunting feeling. There’s no words to describe the feeling I had when my name was announced to be in the dance off.”

“Marty’s a really good pal of mine. It’s just not a nice place to be.”

Brian noted that the when he picks out flaws in her dances he’s comparing her to the pros but despite that Alannah isn’t taking her place in the competition for granted.

“The scary thing is every week, nobody is safe.”

I’ve been up at the top every week but I’m in the bottom so you just don’t know!”

She joked after the show that she’d be the most hated woman in Ireland because she beat Marty in their showdown.

She also revealed that she shed a few tears over his departure from the program.

When asked who is the one person she doesn’t want to see leave the competition she struggled to pick.

“Deirdre… Erin… God they’re all me mates!”

Her performance for the show’s guilty pleasures week was a fun one to the F.R.I.E.N.D.S theme song, I’ll Be There For You by The Rembrandts.

Her partner Vitali told Goss that we’ll see the true Alannah in her performance next week so we’re looking forward to that.
