GrĂ¡inne Seoige’s wedding is fast approaching, but what do we know about it so far?

Well, we know the TV presenter is definitely set to wed her South African hubby Leon Jordan in Ireland before Christmas – which means it must be happening pretty soon.

The couple currently live in Pretoria, South Africa, but decided to host a proper Irish wedding because it “just makes sense”.

GrĂ¡inne and Leon will be wed in a civil ceremony with no bridesmaids or groomsmen, and the ceremony will be “trilingual” – featuring English, Gaeilge and Afrikaans.

The bride is expected to wear a bespoke gown designed by her good friend Don O’Neill, who has dressed some major celebrities in recent years – including Meghan Markle.

Ahead of their big day, GrĂ¡inne is hoping South Africa will win the Rugby World Cup, as it would be the ultimate pre-wedding present for Leon.

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, she said: “I don’t know what will happen but Leon has a lot of belief in the team and we will see. If they win it will be crazy. I won’t be back for it but the amount of partying will be crazy.”

“It would be the ultimate pre-wedding present for Leon and it would mean I would get everything I wanted. Whatever I asked the answer would be yes because the form would be brilliant.”

GrĂ¡inne also revealed she’s already had her Hen party in South Africa, but hopes to host a second bash with her Irish friends before her big day.

She said: “They call it a Kitchen Tea over there. It comes from an old Dutch tradition. It was a wonderful evening and they went to so much trouble and it was really beautiful.”

“I will try and have a get together over here as well with my Irish friends but have already had a beautiful night in South Africa. It was really special.”

“My mother was there and she got to meet all my South African family and friends and she was just bowled away by the welcome and the hospitality and that was wonderful.”
