Everything you need to know about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Irish visit

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to touch down in Ireland on Tuesday, marking their first official visit to Dublin.

As expected, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a pretty packed itinerary – but fans of the pair are sure to catch of glimpse of them as they tour around the Irish capital.

Their trip to Dublin will include a visit to Croke Park, Trinity College, and Áras an Uachtaráin.

The couple plan to meet as many Irish people as possible, so we’ve broken down the itinerary for their two-day visit.

Tuesday – July 10

The couple are expecting to arrive in Dublin Airport on Tuesday morning, where they will no doubt be greeted by hundreds of onlookers and waiting media.

The pair are then expected to spend some time at the Department of the Taoiseach, where they will meet with Leo Varadkar.

Meghan and Harry are then expected to attend a summer garden party at the British Ambassador’s headquarters that evening, where they will meet people from across Ireland’s arts, sports, military and social enterprise sectors.

Wednesday – July 12

To kick off their final day in Ireland, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will meet with President Michael D Higgins at Áras an Uachtaráin.

The Royal couple will then travel to Trinity College, where they will see the Book of Kells, one of Ireland’s greatest cultural treasures.

After this, Meghan and Harry will attend the Gaelic sports festival at Croke Park, which is the home of the Gaelic Athletic Association.

The pair will then have a moment for reflection at the Famine Memorial, before visiting the Irish Emigration Museum.

The Duke and Duchess will also learn more about the bright future of Ireland by paying a visit to DogPatch Labs, a co-working space for technology start-ups.

Here, Harry and Meghan will meet children and young people taking part in free coding workshops, and will also have the opportunity to talk to female tech entrepreneurs.

Wasting no time, the couple will jet back to the UK on Wednesday night, so people will get another chance to see them at Dublin airport.
