British actress Emily Blunt has opened up about visiting Ireland as a teenager.

Travelling to the Emerald Isle with her school netball team when she was 15, the Hollywood star revealed her sports teacher brought them to the Guinness brewery after and let them drink pints of the black stuff.

“The only thing I’ve ever done in Ireland is a netball tournament when I was in school,” she said.

Memories: Emily admitted one and only time she was in Ireland was when she was 15

“It’s shameful to admit that, but I plan to change that soon because it was such a terrific trip.

“We headed over to Dublin to play an Irish team and, afterwards, we all went to the Guinness factory, which was pretty awesome because our sport teacher wrongly let us have Guinness at 15 [years of age],” she told the Sunday World Magazine.

“That was my only time there.”

Clobbered: Emily admitted her team was clobbered by her netball competitors

When asked how her school’s netball team faired against their Irish competitors, Emily admitted they lost “quite badly”.

“No, I believe we got clobbered quite badly. Probably time for a rematch, I think,” she laughed.

The Doubt actress who is married to The Office US star John Krasinski revealed that though they have yet to work on a project together – they could see themselves on the Irish stage.

Dublin bound: Emily hinted her and her husband actor John Krasinski could perform in Dublin

“It’s something we’d love to do and we’ve talked about it a lot to do and we’ve talked about it a lot, but we just have to find the right thing,” she said.

“Maybe a play. Maybe in London. Or Dublin even. Or I’ve never done Broadway – that could be amazing.

“Who knows, it’s something that could happen or might never happen. Only time will tell,” she added.
