Emilia Clarke shares her love for Ireland as Game of Thrones filming begins

Emilia Clarke has shared her love for Ireland, as filming for Game of Thrones season seven has begun.

The cast of the popular HBO series have descended upon Belfast in the past few weeks, as production has finally begun for the next series of GOT.

Emilia, who plays series’ favourite Daenerys Targaryen, is the latest cast member to land in the Northern capital – and is already loving life on set, thanks to the incredible views.

Taking to Instagram, the 29-year-old shared a snap over the renowned Harland & Wolff cranes, nicknamed Samson and Goliath, on Sunday morning.

“Belfast you are shining for us this morning. #makessundayworkingthatmuchmoredoable #ormaybethatsthe17coffeees…#themotherofdragonssurewokeupthismorning,” she wrote.

The news comes after the hit fantasy drama smashed records at the Emmy’s this year.

The show broke the record for the highest number of Emmy Awards won by any fictional series ever, having triumphed in three categories at the ceremony, including outstanding drama series.
