Ed Sheeran set to pen songs for Westlife’s comeback album

Their former manager has confirmed that they will be reuniting

Louis Walsh has revealed that he’s asked Ed Sheeran to pen songs for Westlife’s comeback album.

The X Factor judge, who previously managed Westlife, recently revealed his plans to reunite the “Fab Four” – Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan.

And now, Louis has revealed that he’s already spoken to Ed Sheeran and former X Factor winner James Arthur about writing songs for them.

“I’ve already spoken to people about writing songs for them. Two in particular are Ed Sheeran and James Arthur. I’ve talked to both of them already,” Louis told The Sun.

“I want to give them notice to write some really good songs.”

The news comes after Louis delighted fans by confirming that a Westlife reunion is definitely happening.

“A Westlife reunion is definitely going to happen – but I have no idea when,” he said. “I’m still really good friends with all of the lads.

“I was chatting to Mark Feehily last night about the Christmas album he’s bringing out, and its amazing. I’d forgotten how talented he is. I think the reunion will be great, but it’s up to them to decide when they will do it.”

The world famous band split back in 2012.
