Ed Sheeran has reportedly asked Westlife to perform at his second wedding party.

The singer secretly married his childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn last Christmas, but now he’s planning to celebrate their marriage with a huge star-studded party this summer.

And according to the Daily Star, Ed has invited Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Mark Feehily, and Kian Egan to perform on the night.

It’s believed Ed wants the boyband to perform their hit song ‘Flying Without Wings’ for their first dance song.

A source said: “Westlife are a very unlikely choice on the face of it, but actually there is quite a deep connection there.”

“When Ed was a kid, he loved that song. It inspired him to sing and learn to play the guitar, and it remains really special for him. Flying Without Wings means an awful lot to him.”

It’s no secret that Ed is a huge fan of the band, and he’s penned a number of tracks for their upcoming album Spectrum, alongside legendary songwriter Steve Mac.
