The singer's family are waiting for more details surrounding her death

Dolores O’Riordan was found dead in her hotel bathroom by a maid, it has been revealed.

On Monday, the world was left shocked and saddened by the news that The Cranberries lead singer had passed away in a hotel room in the London ­Hilton on Park Lane.

According to the Irish Sun, Dolores’ was found in the bathroom of her hotel suite shortly after 9am by a cleaning lady.

Sources say emergency services were then called after the 46-year-old was discovered unresponsive.

A Scotland Yard spokesman has said that Dolores’ death wasn’t being treated as “suspicious”, and the case has been handed over to the coroner for examination.

The singer’s body was discovered just hours after she left her long-time music exec pal Dan Waite a voicemail, in which she sounded “full of life”.

Her remains are at the coroner’s office in Westminster, and sources have said that her autopsy will take place “over the coming days”.

Dolores, who will be buried in her hometown Ballybricken, was married to Duran Duran’s former tour manager Don Burton for 20 years, but the pair split in 2014.

The couple had three children together — Taylor Baxter Burton, 20, Molly Leigh, 16, and 12-year-old Dakota Rain.

Dolores’ family, including her mum Eileen, have been waiting for more information about the singer’s death, but no details can be given until after the post mortem.

The legendary singer had been living in New York, but had jetted to London to record a cover of The Cranberries hit song Zombie with metal band Bad Wolves.
