Doireann Garrihy has shared a heartfelt tribute to a fan of hers, Caoihme O’Brien, who sadly lost her battle with cancer this week.
The Zoo Crew duo, herself and Martin Guilfoyle had the privilege of meeting Caoimhe at Christmas and remembered her fondly.
The youngest Garrihy sister broke the sad news to her followers on Instagram and paid tribute to the courageous young woman.
She captioned the post, “Martin and I were gutted to hear that the bright, warm and inspirational @caoimhe___obrien lost her battle with cancer this week. We had the pleasure of meeting Caoimhe and her family at Christmas when we were working in Dungarvan, and were blown away by her positivity and strength. She never stopped smiling from the moment we met her. ❤”
The radio presenter finished by saying, “Tomorrow night, we’ll do the Zoo Crew with you in mind from start to finish, Caoimhe. Rest In Peace. ???? #lookformeintherainbows”
