Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander tied the knot over the weekend – and the just-married couple and their guests celebrated their nuptials over three days.

The actor, who hails from Co Kerry, and the Swedish actress said ‘I do’ in front of 150 guests at the Agroturismo Can Marti in Ibiza.

The eco-hotel, which is based on a farm, features a huge Turkish bath and natural swimming pool – and all the electricity and hot water is solar-power generated.

A source told The Sun, “Michael wanted to ensure his guests could have a proper party and the bash went on until 6am.”

“There was a DJ and a band who blared out music pretty much 24/7 over the three days. All the food they ate was local cuisine, some of which was grown on the farm they were staying on.”

Ahead of the ceremony on Saturday, the couple and their guests enjoyed a sun-soaked boat party on Friday.

Guests then soothed their post-wedding hangovers with a boozy brunch on the Sunday.

Guests including director Steve McQueen were banned from taking pictures, and mobile phones were also prohibited.

The newlyweds, who met on the set of The Light Between Oceans back in 2014, were spotted wearing wedding bands in paparazzi photos which were taken the day after the ceremony.
