Daithi O'Se: 'I only blossomed as a TV star after working as circus ring master'

TV star Daithi O’Se has revealed he owes his presenting career… to his time working as a circus ring master.

The Rose of Tralee presenter worked as Duffy’s Circus before he started working in TG4.

And Daithi – who was working with all types of animals and clowns – said he believes it moulded him into the fun-loving host he is now.

“It was great altogether. I was dealing with snakes and crocodiles and all that kind of thing,” he told the Irish Independent.

“And of course the clowns. Where would the circus be without the clowns?”

Previously Daithi also worked as a fisherman, Blasket Island ferryman, in a fish factory and in his brother’s butcher’s shop.

It comes as Daithi is gearing up to host the latest Rose of Tralee contest next week.
