The Cranberries release statement on Dolores O’Riordan’s death

The Cranberries have released an official statement, after the death of Dolores O’Riordan.

The Limerick singer was found dead in London on the morning of January 15th, with her death currently “unexplained”, according to London police.

Stars all around the world have been paying tribute to the lead singer, who battled with bi-polar disorder.

In a moving statement, The Cranberries said they were “devastated” by her death:

“We are devastated on the passing of our friend Dolores. She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to have been part of her life from 1989 when we started the Cranberries. The world has lost a true artist today,” the band said, signing the post “Noel, Mike and Fergal”.

The singer was much-loved all around the world, with her death coming as a shock to musicians and fans all around the world.
