Conor McGregor’s return to the UFC has been confirmed.
The world champion will return to the Octagon to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC lightweight title at UFC 229, on October 6th in Las Vegas.
Several reports indicate that this could be one of the most anticipated fights in UFC history.
The news was announced today at a press conference in Los Angeles, reports themaclife.com.
The news comes after months of speculation. Conor’s return was put on pause after he faced legal action in New York over a “bus attack” back in April, involving Nurmagomedov.
The Dubliner was cleared of all felonies in July, giving him the freedom to make his almighty return.
In true McGregor style he released a teaser on his Instagram.
