Conor McGregor throws shade at Khabib Nurmagomedov as he reacts to UFC ban

The UFC star has received a six month ban

Conor McGregor has thrown some serious shade at Khabib Nurmagomedov, after being handed a ban by the UFC.

The Nevada Athletic Commission have banned the Crumlin native for six months and fined him $50,000 – over that brawl that took place after he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov in Las Vegas back in October.

Taking to Twitter after the news hit headlines, Conor wrote, “I am thankful for the Nevada athletic commissions fair assessment and handling of the brawl incident.”

While Conor accepted his punishment, the UFC made sure to take another pop at Khabib, and the man who attacked him inside the Octagon.

“It was not my intention to land the final blow of the night on my opponent’s blood relative. It’s just how it played out. I look forward to competing again soon. Thank you all,” he continued.

In another tweet, Conor continued to taunt his rivals by writing, “Straight left hand inside the attackers jab. He attempted to use the big security guard that’s in all the movies as cover, but I could smell him a mile away and landed flush down the pipe.”

“The final blow of the night UFC 229 in association with McGregor Sports and Entertainment,” he added.

While Conor was handed a $50k fine, Russian fighter Khabib was slapped with a much bigger penalty – as he’s been ordered to pay a $500,000 fine, and been handed a nine month ban.

However, Khabib may have his sentence reduced, if he takes part in an anti-bullying course.
