Conor McGregor congratulates team mate Lee Hammond – as he wins gold at world championships

Conor McGregor has congratulated his teammate Lee Hammond – after becoming a world MMA champion.

The Dubliner won gold at the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation World Championship in Bahrain this weekend.

Both Lee and Conor’s teammate Cian Cowley, who was apart of the infamous bus attack on Khabib Nurmagomedov earlier this year, went home winners this weekend.

Taking to Instagram, Conor shared a photo with Lee admitting he was proud that another world champion has come from Dublin 12.

“Congrats Lee Hammond Ammy World champion,” he wrote.

“The 3rd MMA world champion from the Proper 12 district! Conor McGregor, Aisling Daly, Lee Hammond! And counting!”

And of course it’s no surprise that Conor will be celebrating the win with his own whiskey brand Proper No. Twelve, adding: “Oss the 12 bottles on the gaf! Your gaf ????”

Conor also shared a photo with Cian Cowley, who also won big this weekend.

Both Lee and Cian also train in SBG Ireland, with Coach John Kavanagh by their side.
