Conor McGregor apologised for speeding, as he faces a six month ban from driving.

The Crumlin native appeared in court this afternoon facing charges of speeding, driving without a licence, failing to produce a licence at the scene and also failing to produce it at a garda station.

The MMA star was also ordered to pay a fine of €1000 and apologised to the judge for speeding.

“I didn’t know I was going that fast,” Conor said, according to The Irish Times.

According to RTÉ, the 30-year-old added: “I gotta drive safer”.

The report added that the judge found Conor to be “remorseful” and the Sargeant who had stopped him on the day said he found the MMA to be “polite” and that he had apologised back then.
