Cillian Murphy set to voice a children’s animated film

Cillian Murphy has been confirmed to voice in a new children’s animated film.

According to Deadline.com, the Irish actor will star in the animated film based on Michael Morpurgo’s children’s adventure Kensuke’s Kingdom.

The book tells the story of Michael, who fell overboard during his family’s round-the-world sailing trip.

After falling off the boat, he finds himself on a remote Pacific island and realises that someone is trying to keep him safe.

Other actors voicing in the new film are Cillian’s Inception co-star Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins, who starred in The Shape of Water.

Kensuke’s Kingdom will be a co-production between Ireland, the UK and Luxembourg, with Irish company Brennus Productions

The Irish actor currently narrates the RTÉ One series The Irish Revolution.
