Ciara Doherty announced her first pregnancy live on IrelandAMÂ this morning.
The TV3 presenter said she was “thrilled” to be expecting as she hosted the morning show and revealed a small baby bump.
She gushed to her co-hosts that she was feeling “incredibly lucky” to be pregnant while the programme showcased maternity wear.
It was announced in April that she would officially replace Sinead Desmond as the permanent co-host of their breakfast television show.
The Donegal mum-to-be has worked with TV3 since 2010.
She joined the Ireland AM team full-time since 2015 before being given her co-host contract this year.
