Caroline Wozniacki has revealed that Serena Williams threatened to kick her door in after Rory McIlroy dumped her.
The Danish tennis star was adamant she didn’t want to speak to anyone after the golfer called off their engagement last May.
But Caroline found herself gaining a new friend in the process – Serena.
She said: “When Serena heard about the break-up she kept calling me but I didn’t pick up. I didn’t even want to look at my phone.

“Then she texted me, ‘If you do not pick up now, I’m going to fly to you and if you don’t open your door, I’m going to kick it open and I’m going to see you.’ So I picked up.”
She added: “I flew straight to Miami and we had a great time together. She’s an amazing friend and an inspiration to me.”
Meanwhile, Caroline admitted she’s now come to terms with the split.

She added: “It came as a bit of a shock but everything happens for a reason. I’ve learned so much about myself this year.
“You’ll have amazing moments and tough ones. You may not see that at the time but you learn how strong you really are.”
