Caroline Wozniacki is quite literally running away from walking down the aisle – by doing the New York Marathon.
The Danish tennis star has announced her charity run for November, exactly when she was planning to wed Rory McIlroy.
The 24-year-old tennis star will run as a Team for Kids Ambassador along with Boston Marathon champion Meb Keflezighi.
And Caroline admitted it will be “one of the most rewarding days” when she finishes.

She said: “When I cross the finish line in Central Park, it will be one of the most rewarding days of my life, not only because of the personal accomplishment.
“But also because it will help thousands of kids to get healthy and fit through sports.”
She will be one of the only sports stars to do the New York Marathon in the prime of their career.
