Caroline Wozniacki has said she is over her Rory McIlroy heartbreak – as she returns to where he proposed.
The Danish tennis star was overjoyed when the Northern Irish golf ace popped the question in Sydney on New Year’s Eve a year ago.
But Rory later called off the engagement in a shock announcement that left Caroline reeling.
Now the 24-year-old is back in the Australian capital for the Australian Open – and said she is “past what happened” on her first return to the city.

She added: “Obviously it feels different [coming back here], because a lot has changed since then.
“I love Sydney, it’s a great place. I think it’s such a great city. But honestly, I’m past what happened last year.
“I don’t really think back to be honest, I just enjoy where I am right now and I’m in a happy place.
“This is what I want to be in the spotlight for, because I play well and for my hard work.”
Last year, Caroline made waves when she posted her engagement ring online, adding: “Happy New Year everyone! Rory and I started 2014 with a bang! … I said YES!!!!”

Meanwhile, Caroline said it is nice to finally be back known for her tennis career.
She said: “It just comes naturally when you play well and start doing well, people start getting interested in your life both on and off the court.
“It’s normal for me now. It’s not something that is abnormal to me. I kind of grew up with it so it’s not something I really paid that much attention to.
“It’s part of the job and it’s part of being a professional athlete. It’s only a positive thing if people are talking about you because you’re obviously playing well.”
