Newly engaged Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki are set to make millions as a sports power couple.
Sports PR agent Alex McGreevy has revealed marketers could make Wozilroy the richest lovers since Victoria and David Beckham.
He said: “Last year, Rory was the second most marketable athlete in the world behind Brazilian footballer Neymar.
“And Caroline would currently be considered among the world’s top 30. The fact they plan to marry will add a new dimension to their appeal.
“I’ve no doubt Caroline will be an equally strong half of what will become the world’s best-known power couple since David Beckham and Victoria Adams announced their intention to marry.”
The Belfast agent told the Irish Sun that they will especially be wanted in the wake of Tiger Woods’ cheating scandal, and Oscar Pistorius being put on trial for killing his girlfriend.
Already Rory, 24, is making millions in sponsorship agreements while Caroline, 23, has her own lingerie range.
On New Year’s Day, the Holywood golfer popped the question in Sydney, Australia with a €150,000 ring.
