Calum Best has admitted his new bushy beard is “hit and miss” with the ladies – but he’s keeping it anyway.
The son of footballer George Best has grown his facial hair to play a fighter in new film Outsider.
“I am doing a film with Paddy Doherty at the moment about the traveling community and the director said ‘we want you both to grow beards’,” the 32-year-old said.

“But now it is seven months later and I quite like it. I am keeping it. It is pretty full-on in terms of maintenance but I can always shave it off if it gets too much.”
The reality TV star’s new film sees his character falling in love with a member of the travelling community, after getting the role from his time with Paddy on Celebrity Bainisteoir.
He is also working on a movie about a son searching for their dad, which he told the Herald is based on his own father-son relationship.
