Calum Best admits: ‘Therapy isn’t easy’

Calum Best has admitted that he doesn’t find therapy easy.

The reality star entered the Celebrity Big Brother house this year but failed to make it to the final – however, he’s on another Channel 5 show called In Therapy.

“[In Therapy] is not easy and I’m not sure that it’s something I can continue,” he revealed.

The model revealed that it was his mother Angie Best who has urged him to seek help but he’s struggled with becoming comfortable enough to talk.

“What I’ve learned about therapy is that it’s not easy and I’m not sure that it’s something that I can continue, I probably need it,” he said on ITV’s Lorraine.

“My mum’s been telling me I need it for years, but with therapy you need to find someone that you are comfortable to talk to.

When asked if he struggled to find trust people because of his late father Gorge Best’s alcoholism, Calum replied, “That’s correct, yes.”

He continued, “I’m very well guarded and for years having to speak about that side things I’m very protected, I know the right answers to make sure no one comes in further than that.

“On a personal level it’s unfortunate, it’s tough for me to open up, trust people, meet somebody, trust them.”

The 36-year-old also admitted that he has been warned by his mother that he won’t find love in a night club.

“Well I know I got myself into trouble when I got outside the house going to nightclubs, but my past was so related to that it’s what I know well.

“I’m trying to work on a new path on meeting people in the right place and the right things and I hope to find somebody without a doubt.

“I’m 36 today, so there’s still time to find somebody,” he added.
