A British reporter referred to Leo Varadkar as the ‘tea set’ on live TV – and people have lost their minds over it.
The Sun’s Royal Correspondent Emily Andrews appeared on Lorraine earlier today, where she spoke about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first official trip to Ireland.
Speaking about their trip, she said, “They are going to jump on a plane and head over to Dublin for their mini-tour this evening and tomorrow.”
However, the interview took a disastrous turn after Emily pronounced ‘Taoiseach’ as ‘tea set.’
So just for the record, the Irish PM pronunciation is tea-shock, (Taoiseach), and not teaset as said here and its Croke park not crowes park, then add insult to injury & say they will see some small sensitive stuff like Bloody Sunday wtf? @reallorraine @GMB pic.twitter.com/ad4Ir8KNEq

She said, “They are going to meet the President of Ireland, the tea set – the Irish Prime Minister.”
To make matters worse, Emily also referred to Croke Park as ‘Crows Park’ during the interview.
Naturally, when Irish people got wind of this, they went mad on Twitter:
“ffs” doesn’t even begin to cover it. pic.twitter.com/nFKJvEVy0d

The ignorance never ceases to surprise me. How long does it take to google something? Jesus Christ ????

That is painfully embarrassing.
