THIS is how Brendan O’Carroll will write Rory Cowan out of Mrs Brown’s Boys

Brendan O’Carroll has finally decided how he’s going to write Rory Cowan out of Mrs Brown’s Boys – and it involves plastic surgery.

The funnyman, who plays Agnes Brown in the hit series, was struggling to find a way to write Rory out of the show in the upcoming Christmas special, after his shock departure back in July.

Rory played Agnes’ much-loved son in the show, which meant scrapping the character was out of the question – so he’ll be replaced by another actor.

An insider told The Irish Sun, “Brendan had been sweating about how to replace Rory as he wrote the Christmas special at his home in Florida.”

“He was really keen to keep the same camp character but played by a new actor. A plastic surgery storyline where Rory ends up with a new face was the perfect answer.”

It’s also been reported that Rory Cowan will not take part in any filming, so viewers will see Agnes’ son already in bandages post surgery before he’s revealed with a brand new face.

Rory Cowan previously admitted that he wouldn’t mind being replaced by another actor.

“We can all be replaced, the only one who is irreplaceable is Mrs Brown. I’m gone now so whoever they get, or whatever storylines they have in the future that’s not my business.

“It’s happened temporarily before, Paddy who plays Dermot was on paternity leave a couple of years ago when he wife had identical twin girls.

Simon Delaney took over for a few months before and the fans just accept it, they’re fine as they are just characters,” he added.
