Brendan Murray opens up about his X Factor experience ahead of the Six Chair Challenge

Brendan Murray has opened up about his X Factor experience so far, ahead of tonight’s Six Chair Challenge.

The 21-year-old is set to hit screens tonight as he battles it out with other contestants in the Boys group, with Louis Tomlinson as their mentor.

Ahead of the show tonight, Brendan told independent.ie that the challenge is “as cut-throat as you see on telly”.

“It’s the wait that’s the killer – you’re constantly waiting to see what happens and it’s the worst thing about it,” he continued.

“When I watched in on telly before and somebody would take someone’s seat I’d be like, ‘oh, he lost his seat’ but when you’re in that situation you have a different mindset,” the Galway native said.

“It’s as cut-throat as you see on telly.  It can be taken away so quickly.  They can build you up and then just chop you down.  It’s very stressful,” he admitted.

Tonight’s episode will show Louis’ Boys group and Robbie’s Groups cut down to just six contestants each.

The X Factor will be on Virgin Media One at 8:00PM.
