Boyzone star Shane Lynch is set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house on Friday.
The 41-year-old signed up to appear on the reality show with the blessing of his bandmates, who recently announced their comeback.
While fans will be delighted to see Shane on the popular Channel 5 series, Boyzone have been forced to delay their 25th anniversary tour because of it.
Although the bandmates have already recorded a new album that’s “ready to go”, they’ll be delaying their tour until later in the year.
According to the Irish Sun, Shane will enter the house on Friday alongside former Liverpool star John Barnes and Love Island’s Jonny Mitchell.
An insider said, “Shane going on CBB is going to provide Boyzone’s 25th anniversary tour with a massive boost. It will introduce Shane and Boyzone to a new younger audience of TV viewers and could help them top the charts in 2018.”
The show kicked off on Tuesday night with an all-female line-up, marking a century since women won the right to vote in the UK.
The ladies already in the house include Ann Widdecombe, Malika Haqq, Rachel Johnson, Ashley James, India Willoughby, Amanda Barrie, Jess Impiazzi and Maggie Oliver.
Shane’s Bewitched star sister Edele Lynch appeared on the show back in 2014, so we’re sure he’s been given plenty of advice.
