Bob Geldof has officially wed long term partner Jeanne Marine.
In a romantic beach wedding the Boomtown Rats star tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on the French Riviera.
Reports earlier in the year claimed the 63-year-old had already wed the French actress.
But according to the Sunday Mirror the pair were only signing paperwork in preparation on that date.
A source told paper: “In France a formal wedding usually has two parts, and this weekend was the main event.”
Bob’s daughters Fifi and Pixie were among the guests at a beachfront venue near Nice.
The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, who is a long-time family friend, was also spotted at the nuptials.
Our source said: “It’s quite an intimate affair. Bob doesn’t really go in for all of that celebrity excess. He just likes to be around his closest friends and family.
“Everybody knows what a difficult couple of years he has had, but this weekend is a lovely opportunity to celebrate his relationship with Jeanne. It was very special.”
