Bernard O’Shea has released a statement – after 2FM announced he is leaving the station.
The Loais comedian had been presenting Breakfast Republic, alongside Jennifer Zamparelli and Keith Walsh.
2FM had announced that Eoghan McDermott and newcomer Doireann Garrihy will now take over the breakfast show, with Jennifer taking over from Nicky Byrne and Jenny Greene, and Keith heading up his own new weekend show.
Radio bosses confirmed Bernard won’t be working in the station anymore.
Taking to Instagram Bernard said he will “truly miss the craic and mayhem.”
Bernard had appeared on the 2018 series of Dancing With The Stars, and still works on Bridget and Eamon alongside Jennifer.
And this year he teamed up with Marty Morrissey for new RTE series Marty and Bernard’s Big Adventure.
