Baz Ashmawy is looking for people to help finish a woman’s house – after her husband suddenly died

This is so sad.

Baz Ashmawy is looking for people to help finish a woman’s house in Tipperary, after her husband died suddenly a few months ago.

The TV presenter, who is currently filming an Irish version of DIY SOS for RTÉ, made an emotional plea for help in a video posted on his personal social media accounts.

In the video, Baz can be seen standing in front of an unfinished house, and says: “This is a house in Tipperary and it belongs to a young woman called Sinead. Her and her husband bought this site and he was working away on it for years, five years.”

“Building on it every evening, every weekend, it was their plan to move their young family, they’ve their three young children and move them all here and spend the rest of their days here.”

Baz continued: “Sadly he ran out of time and he died very suddenly only five months ago, and now the house is left here in tatters.”

“I really, really need your help, and I don’t mean to pester people on social media it’s not what I’m about but I desperately need your help to finish this house. I need painters, I need plasterers, I need carpenters, and I need them really badly.”

“If you could help me do this, you wouldn’t just be helping build this house, you’d be helping build someone’s dreams, and she deserves it so badly, so thank you very much.”
