Aoibhin Garrihy has revealed that her first year of marriage has been very busy, and a bit ‘mad’.
The actress married her husband John 6 months ago in a beautiful ceremony in Co. Clare, but they haven’t seen that much of each other since getting married.
“It’s a contemporary marriage, we just don’t see each other!” she joked. “Yeah it’s been mad.”
The blonde beauty is currently on Dancing With The Stars, and when it’s over she is going to trek to base camp of Mount Everest with her husband – but he will continue on to the top.

Speaking at the Peter Mark VIP Style Awards launch 2017, she said,”I went before with him, and I swore never again – but here I am! I just hate the idea of saying goodbye to him at the end because he’ll be gone for two and a half months.
“As well because things have been just mad at the minute [with Dancing With The Stars], he comes up every week to see the show which is amazing.
“We just haven’t seen a whole lot of each other, so I just really wanted to be part of his adventure for the next few weeks and then hope for the best. He’s so prepared for it.”

When asked what she was going to do once DWTS finishes, the former Fair City star said, “For now, I’m just going to take a bit of a breather now after all of this and see what happens and see what the next step is.
“But for now I’m just looking forward to a bit of downtime. And literally just putting one foot in front of the other for the next few weeks.”
The actress was in the bottom two with Des Cahill on last week’s show, but she came out victorious against the sports broadcaster.
