Andrea Corr praised for opening up about fertility struggles on The Late Late Show

The singer has suffered five miscarriages

Andrea Corr was praised for opening up about her struggles with fertility on The Late Late Show on Friday night.

The singer recently revealed that she suffered multiple miscarriages in her memoir, and spoke about those painful times during her interview with Ryan Tubridy.

Andrea said she suffered two miscarriages before welcoming her two children, Jean and Brett Jnr, but sadly she suffered three more after she had them.

She explained: “It was painful because you’ve got that hope, you immediately dream of this baby, it happens so quickly it’s crazy how our minds are, and our hearts. And then for that hope to crash, it’s hard.”

Despite her pain, Andrea said she’s “so lucky” to have the two kids she shares with her stockbroker husband Brett Desmond.

After watching her interview, many viewers took Twitter to praise Andrea for being so brave.
