Alison Canavan reveals her seven-year-old son SAVED her after collapsing in London

The model mum had contracted a mysterious virus

Alison Canavan has revealed that her seven-year-old son James “saved” her last week, when she suddenly collapsed in London.

The 40-year-old was struck down by bacterial pneumonia, pleurisy, and a mystery virus all at the same time – which caused her to collapse and lose consciousness.

Thankfully, Alison was with her son at the time, who she said was “incredibly calm” throughout the scary incident.

She told the Irish Independent: “My words got mumbled when it happened and he rang my friend and said ‘mummy needs help’. My friend rang the doctor and he let the doctor up to the building.”

According to doctors, Alison may have contracted the virus during her flight from LA last month.

Following the scare, the model mum wrote on Instagram: “This day last week my 7 year old boy picked up the phone and saved his mummy.”

“On a trip to London I got taken down by a virus and within hours collapsed and was rushed to hospital. It has been an intense and scary week but I am now on the mend.”

“Thank you to all my friends and family including @karyclince, Fiona Kelly, my mum, my sis Laura who is on her way over to me, Margaret and Marion and the list goes on.

“I have learnt that our health is precious, the kindness of others heals and can make you feel safe when you are scared. Dr Coker At London Bridge Hospital is my hero and her quest to get to the bottom of everything is extraordinary.

“Thank you for all the prayer and healing circles that have been sent my way by everyone. They really worked,” she added.
