Aidan Turner has insisted that he will NEVER take part in Strictly Come Dancing – because he “can’t stand it”.
The 33-year-old Irish actor isn’t a fan of the BBC show, despite knowing his way around the dance floor.
The Poldark star, who has gained a legion of female fans thanks to that topless scything scene, actually took up ballroom and Latin American dancing at the age of six – and even represented Ireland in international competitions for 10 years.
However, when asked by Radio Times if he watched popular celebrity dance series Strictly Come Dancing, Aidan said, “No, I hate it. God, I hate watching it now, I can’t stand it, really.”

“It’s not about dancing, the dancing is rubbish.”
When asked whether he’s ever been asked to appear on the show, Aidan replied, “I don’t know if I’m eligible because I used to compete at an amateur level. I think you need to be, like, a raw beginner.
“They haven’t asked me, no. And, just for the record, I wouldn’t do it,” he insisted.
