Aidan Turner has landed in the coveted September issue of British Vogue.
The Poldark star posed with his on-screen love Eleanor Tomlinson as they discussed their hugely popular BBC show, Aidan’s heartthrob status, and how they would never date in the real world.
Speaking about the success of Poldark, Aidan said, “”The whole thing is a bit preposterous, it’s kind of nuts, you know; I got a little bit overwhelmed.
“We were all taken aback a bit by its success. It’s a strange experience to have that happen.”

Looking handsome as ever, Aidan posed in a white shirt, trench coat and a pair of Dr. Martens, as he stood next to his stunning flame-haired co-star Eleanor – who donned a red lace dress embellished with floral embroidery.
On the topic of Aidan’s famous (topless) scything scene, the 33-year-old insists it was never intended to attract the ladies.
“When you’re playing the character, you don’t think, ‘I look really hot in this scene.’ If I was wearing a shirt in the middle of the summer doing that kind of manual work, that for me would have been odd. It was quite truthful and real for me, that’s the funny thing,” he told British Vogue.

While the Dublin native is seen as a sex symbol, his cast mate Eleanor admitted that while it’s “hard not to fancy” Aidan, they would never work as a couple.
“He’s beautiful to look at, so it’s hard not to fancy him, but fortunately we don’t feel like that about each other!”
“We’re great friends but we disagree all the time. We’ve both got a temper, we’re both strong people; there are definitely similarities between us and our characters,” she added.
